Come celebrate Earth Day 2013 at Wit & Whim in Port Washington, NY. Throughout the month of April, artists from Long Island, Queens & Manhattan will be exhibiting their eco-themed work to further increase awareness and appreciation for the earth’s natural environment. I am proud to be one of the artists chosen to show my Fine Art Photography.
The work presented at Wit & Whim was inspired by “finding the contraditions of the coventional idea of beauty.” Alyssa’s photographs are the solemn settings of Central Park in the midst of changing seasons. The snowflakes and icicles are melted away and the flowers and greenery are not yet in bloom. To find beauty in the nakedness of the park was to take the imagery and focus on the shadows and silhoettes of the architecture that nature provides.
I am also excited about some of the other artists that will showing their work. Peter Yip www.peterwyip.com, Vincent Brandi www.vincentbrandi.net and Mark Manthey.
Wit & Whim is located at 6 Carlton Avenue, Port Washington, NY.
Hope to see you all there!
